Bio

A 2021 graduate of Wiregrass Ranch High School, Hernandez was not highly recruited out of high school, but all the better for the Falcons.  With his sights set on running at an NCAA Division I school, Hernandez has the determination to reach that goal. 

2021 Season in Review: Henandez had a breakout freshman year for the Falcons as he ran in the top three all fall.  He placed third in the Region 8 meet, helping the Falcons place their top seven in the top 10 of the field to win their third team title in four years.  At the NJCAA championships in Virginia, Hernandez would join teammates, Andy Martinez and Christian Ruocco, to earn All America status.  His 8k time of 25:38 place him 7th, a huge improvement from his high school times in a short span of three months with the Falcons.   

2022 Season Outlook:  Hernandez was the top US freshman in NJCAA Division II in 2021.  The Falcons will look to him for leadership on the course, and a possible run at the individual title in Tallahassee in November. 

Coach Wilson Comments:  "Sebastian really made a big jump in his running during his freshman year.  After his 7th place at cross country nationals, he really gained conidence to go race with guys from big schools. He is a racer with a lazer sharp focus.  Every team needs a guy like Sebastian."
