Visiting Team Information
The Daytona State College Athletic Department provides visiting athletes/teams with a variety of athletic training services, supplies and equipment. A certified athletic trainer will be present at all home events.
The primary athletic training clinic for baseball, softball, men’s and women’s basketball, volleyball, and golf is located on the second floor of the L.Gale Lemerand Center – building 310, room 210. The clinic will be open two hours before and one hour after each event.
Water, cups, ice, ice bags, and first aid supplies will be available on the court or field for your use.
Services provided:
- Emergency injury assessment and management
- Taping (Visiting athletes/teams MUST provide taping supplies)
- Wound care management
Modalities provided:
- Cryotherapy (ice bags, ice cups, cold whirlpool)
- Heat therapy (heat packs, warm whirlpool)
Modalities that can only be used if written instructions (detailed parameters) are provided and signed by the athlete's Certified Athletic Trainer or Physician (no exceptions):
- Ultrasound
- Electrical Stimulation
- Therapeutic Massage
