A 2019 graduate of Hagerty High School, Mastrobuono was one of the team leaders. He set an example with his work ethic and was commited to continuing his running. He set a personal record of 17:17 for 5k cross country and was an integral part of Hagerty High School track.

Outlook for 2019: Wilson says Mastrobuono has a good chance of working his way into the top seven. "We will work with him on adapting to the longer college distance of 8k, but I think he will really embrace it. He is a very hard worker and pushes himself to great lengths. We are fortunate to have him here at DSC."

Review of the 2019 Season: Mastrobuono surprised a lot of people during the 2019 season. He ran in the top five all season for the Falcons, which was a huge accomplishment considering the increase in race distance. Adam finished out the year by running in both the NJCAA National Cross Country Championships, and the NJCAA Half Marathon championships.

Outlook for 2020: After a very successful freshman campaign, Mastrobuono has been a source of stability and strength for the Falcons. Placing in the top five in all competitions in the 2019 season, Wilson has enjoyed watching Mastrobuono develop as a student and an athlete. "Not many will match Adam's work ethic. He's been a tremendous asset to our team and I'm excited to see what happens this fall.
