The men's cross country team will take on teams from Florida and southern Georgia at the Alligator Lake Invitational on Friday, Sept 18th.  The 5000 meter race will start at 5:00pm.  The course is expected to be wet and muddy which might affect times, but in the sport of cross country, where runners place in the field is more important.  Coming off of a big win two weeks ago at the Florida Horse Park Invitational, sophomore Andy Martinez is looking to be one of the front runners.   He lead the Falcons to a victory over Region 8 rivals Lake Sumter, Seminole State College, and Florida State College – Jacksonville.  "The guys have put in some solid workouts and we hope to see our freshmen (Adolfo Castro and Jerdary Ayala) settle in and have better races.  Their first college race a few weeks ago was riddled with nerves, but they are a talented group." Wilson said.  The sophomore group of Adam Mastrobuono, Tyler Gilbert, and Tyler Baker has given the Falcons the consistency Coach Judy Wilson had been hoping would materialize.  "Despite the possibility of no season, these guys have stayed focused.  They like training and they know how fortunate they are to be training and competing right now."  Wilson said.   The Falcons will also see freshmen Richard Lebron, Jesus Clemente, and Dillon Wilson-Beck compete in their second collegiate race.  Results can be found at:  http://b3rsports.com/2020-alligator-lake-invitational/
