Falcons Ranked Fifth in NJCAA National Poll

The Daytona State men's cross country team has reached another milestone.  On Wednesday, September 9th, the first NJCAA Division II cross country coaches poll was released and the Falcons claimed the #5 slot.  2020 marks the first time in 17 years that the NJCAA has a three tier structure for cross country.  Daytona State is in Division II and will look to compete in Ft Dodge, IA on November 14th.  The Falcons have a mix of experienced sophomores (Andy Martinez, Adam Mastrobuono, Tyler Baker, Tyler Gilbert, and AJ Williams) and a new and talented freshman group (Jerdary Ayala, Adolfo Castro, Coby Karl, Richard Lebron, Jesus Clemente, and Dillon Wilson-Beck).   "Obviously, many things have to work in our favor this fall, we are just taking it one day at a time. But this is a great group to work with and very promising for the future of the program." Coach Judy Wilson commented.
