Daytona State Baseball Falls to The College of Central Florida in Early Week Contest, 11-0

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Daytona State baseball team is hoping to bounce back after a tough loss Monday afternoon to The Central Florida College Patriots.
The Patriots have been on a roll as they collect their fourth consecutive win in the Mid-Florida Conference.
The Falcons are now 19-17 on the year. The offense was paced by sophomore outfielder, Tivon Faneyte who went 3 for 4 and freshmen infielder, Matt Swiderski who went 2 for 3 from the dish.
Sophomore Catcher, Joe Shue collected a pair of hits as well.
From the Patriots side, a pair of sophomore pitchers, Cooper Wallace and Kyle Hansen combined for a 10 hit shutout to defeat the Falcons.
Wallace threw eight scoreless innings allowing eight hits, striking out eight and not committing a single a walk.
Hansen closed out the game with a scoreless ninth inning.
The patriots were sparked by a five run fifth, four in the eighth and added two more in the ninth to rout the Falcons. Central Florida's offense was paced by Vincent Addona who went 1 for 6 with two RBIs and a run scored. John Cassala had a pair of hits in six trips with a RBI and run scored.
Garrett Wright, Levi Hollingsworth, Connor Crile, N.J Williamson, B.j Harmon and Kevin Gomez all contributed with a hit of their own.
The Falcons will take the field again on April 6 at 3 p.m. for their third series game vs. The College of Central Florida Patriots in Ocala, FL
