Sophomores Alexis Mills and Jonna-Marie Kirk finished out their DSC careers Tuesday with impressive performances in the NJCAA Half Marathon Championships.  Mills finished the 13.1 mile distance in 1:40:40. She finished seventh among Region 8 runners in the race.  Kirk, who ran a personal best in the 5k cross country championships two days prior, ran a personal best time of 1:42:42, ten minutes faster than her 2022 half marathon time.  "Considering Jonna was a gymnast in high school, I'd say she has done very well for us here at Daytona State.  Jonna and Alexis have brought so much to our program, through their commitment and dedication, personalities and attitude, and just the way they interact with people.  We are going to miss them." commented Coach Judy Wilson.
