Bio
Josue began his running career when a friend coaxed him into it, saying that it would be good conditioning for soccer. In the summer between 8th and 9th grade, Josue spent a majority of his time training and getting prepared for the cross country season, which led him to fall in love with the sport and continue on through high school. For a time, coming to college was a big decision, Josue initially planned to take a gap year while continuing to run and race unattached. Several Daytona State cross country athletes encouraged him to consider attending Daytona State. Eventually a spot on the team opened up, and the current Toho athletes encouraged Coach Wilson to reach out to Josue, which she did and considering his potential, allowed him to join the team.
