Daytona State Softball Scores Big for the American Heart Association

Daytona State’s Softball team led all donations for the Falcon Athletic Department with over $600 donated to the cause of medical research for heart disease. Annually, the athletic department participates in the American Heart Walk for the American Heart Association. This year the Falcon Softball team made it their mission to raise substantial funds for the cause.

Not only did the Lady Falcons raise over $600 in donations for the American Heart Walk, but the softball team, together with the other Daytona State athletic teams, participated in the American Heart Walk on the Daytona Beach campus of Embry-Riddle University on the September 27th.

In addition to each player raising funds to support the cause, the softball team collected generous donations at their fall scrimmage events to help boost their giving power. Both Ormond Beach Lady Renegades & Palatka Paws gave sizeable contributions to support the American Heart Association.
