Three Early Commitments For The Falcons

The Lady Falcon softball team is proud to announce the early commitments of several of the sophomores.

Paige Curtis, a sophomore pitcher and 3rd baseman for the Falcons recently made her commitment to transition to a four year school after Daytona State. Curtis will be the newest member of the Jacksonville University's softball team in 2015-2016.  With this transition she will be able to remain close to her hometown of Jacksonville, FL.

The Dolphins of University of Jacksonville are hopeful that Curtis will continue to not just dominate from the mound, but to continue her strong presence at the plate.   Curtis will be able to continue to focus on her dream of playing ball at the Division I level while pursuing her nursing degree at the University of Jacksonville.

Kate Sims has also made her decision regarding her transition next year.  Sims has announced that she will be a Huskie at the University of Connecticut next fall.  As an outfielder with speed and strong bat at the plate, Sims should have no problem fitting in well with her Huskie teammates.  The toughest challenge Sims will face will be adapting to the cold weather in early spring.

Anna Tarpley, the Falcon’s starting short stop the past two seasons, has committed to the University of Akron for the upcoming year.  Tarpley will be stepping out of her comfort zone with this move, but her talents and skillsets will allow her to accomplish great things in the coming seasons with Zips of Akron.

Daytona State is excited to see their Falcons leave the nest and accomplish great things with their new programs.
