Trevor Watson Moves Up from Daytona State's Developmental Team

Trevor Watson, a utility player for Tenoroc High School, initially signed a letter of intent to play at Bacone College in Oklahoma. As a senior in high school he batted an impressive.382. Watson, despite being traditionally an outfielder, demonstrated his positional range, as he spent some time on the mound for his Polk County high school team, accumulating a 1.81 ERA.

After playing a year at Bacone College, which competes in the Red River Athletic Conference for the NAIA, Watson was ready to return to Florida. He was excited to take on a new role with the Daytona State Falcons. Watson knew he would have to prove himself to the Falcons staff. He accepted that challenge and initially took on a role with the Daytona State developmental team. Watson's work ethic and strong skillset allowed him to demonstrate that he was capable of stepping into a role for the Falcons ball club.

Watson was moved up early in the fall in the Falcon's fall season. He punctuated his transition to Daytona State's regular squad by tagging a homerun in his first at bat with the Daytona State Falcons.
