October 27, 2015 – Lakewood Ranch, FL:  The Daytona State College Women’s Golf Team finished their fall season on Tuesday with a solid 4th place finish at the 38th FIU/Pat Bradley Invitational in Lakewood Ranch, FL.

With a three day total of 892, the Lady Falcons finished the event 13 shots behind tournament winner Toledo University (879), 8 shots behind second place Memphis (884) and 1 shot behind 3rd place and host Florida International University (891).

The Falcons were led by sophomore Ji Sun Kang, who shot scores of 70-74-72.  Kang finished in 2nd place individually just 1 shot short of the individual title.  This is Kang’s second runner up finish this fall.  Other finishers for the Lady Falcons were Seoyon Kwon, who posted scores of 73-75-76, Katie Veale who finished with scores of 75-77-76, Claire Becker who posted scores of 78-72-80 and Elizabeth Jackson who posted scores of 77-86-75.

Falcon head coach Laura Brown was very happy with the team’s finish.  “My players played very well the last few days and I am very happy that they finished the fall season with a solid event.  The confidence they gained from their top finish should keep them motivated to practice hard in the off season and be eager to start back in the spring in February.  It was really good to see Ji Sun in contention to win again, as I believe she is very close to getting a win.  The Lady Falcons return to competition February 7-9 in Orlando, FL at the UCF Challenge at Eagle Creek Golf Club.
