Phoenix Sanders Recognized as Top Player In The Northwood's League

Daytona State College pitcher, Phoenix Sanders, earned honors for his work on the hill this summer in Northwood’s Collegiate League.   He was named to the Northwood’s League 200 Top Prospect list, as noted by CollegeBaseballDaily.com.  Sanders claimed the 134th position on the list.

During Sanders freshman season at Daytona State College, he led the Falcon pitching staff in multiple categories.  Sanders led Daytona State in innings pitched and strikeouts.  Additionally, Sanders was second on the team with wins.

Sanders had 3 starts this summer for the Willmar Stingers.  He finished 1-0, commanding a 1.89 ERA with 14 strikeouts.  He allowed just 15 hits in 19 total innings on the mound.

Sanders returns as a sophomore on the Falcon pitching staff.  This Gainesville, FL native offers experience and confidence from his stint in the Northwood Collegiate League.
