The Daytona State women's cross country team will open the 2023 with the annual Run the Beach Relay.  The race will take place at Frank Rendon Park, 2705 S Atlantic Ave, Daytona Beach.  The women's race will begin  at 6:30pm with the men's race following at 7:10pm.   Along with the Falcons, this year's field will include Florida State College - Jacksonville, Lake Sumter State College, Seminole State College and South Florida State College.  The race is a relay event where each team pairs up their team and each runner runs a total of two miles, alternating trips down the beach with their partner.  Similar to the men, Daytona State captured last year's team title, along with the winning pair.  This year's squad is loaded with returning runners and talented new comers.
