The women's cross country team will compete in the Embry Riddle Invitational this Saturday, September 17th.  This is the program's fourth outing on the somewhat challenging course consisting of trail, hills, and twists and turns.  "This course is not necessarily fast or easy to run, but after this one, all of our other races are so much easier to manage," Coach Judy Wilson said.   The Falcons will be lead by first year runner Shannon Jones and two time Region 8 champ Harleigh Crist.  The rest of the Falcon pack features sophomore Kennedy Arterburn and five first year runners.  Giovanna Meade and Lauren Schaudel finished #3 and #4 for the Falcons at the Border Clash two weeks ago at Valdosta State.  The Falcons are looking to them, along with Arterburn, to round out the top five.  Five runners score in cross country, and the lowest team score is declared the winner.  The women's 5000 meter race will take place at 7:50am, following the men's 8000 meter race set for 7:20am.
