FALCONS SET RECORD FOR HIGHEST TEAM GPA IN PROGRAM HISTORY
DAYTONA BEACH, FL (May 20, 2021) – The Falcon Volleyball team continues to set records this season as they record the highest team GPA in program history.
Despite a year full of unconventional methods and adaptation, the Falcon Volleyball team continued their tradition of excellence in the classroom. The team boasted an impressive 3.60 team GPA this Fall, with 5 members earning a 4.0, despite a switch to all online/distance learning early in the semester. Coming into the Spring semester the team made it a priority to outdo their Fall GPA and placed a high importance on their academic excellence. The Falcon’s certainly met their goal as they ended the Spring semester with a remarkable 3.84 team GPA, with once again 5 Falcons earning a 4.0 and all others earning above a 3.5 GPA.
“These girls worked extremely hard this entire year despite the countless roadblocks that seemed to fall in their paths. They truly embodied the who concept of being a student-athlete and I could not be prouder of what they have accomplished! This team has certainly set a high benchmark for future Falcons that will hopefully carry the torch for academic excellence.” said Coach Laura Booker Anderson
The 2020-2021 Falcons logged a 3.71 overall team GPA for the year, which once again places this crew in the record books for the highest overall team GPA in program history.
