No. 4 Daytona State Soccer Moves to 7-0 with Shutout over LSU Eunice

Daytona Beach, FL – Daytona State soccer remained perfect on the season and secured their seventh straight shutout with a 1-0 victory over LSU Eunice on Friday.

The Falcons (7-0) controlled the match from start to finish. Daytona State led in shots 27-1, shots on goal 10-1, and corner kicks 8-2.

Arianna Kinsley (Estero, FL) scored the lone goal of the game in the 38th minute off a cross from Carsyn Petersen (Greeley, CO). Kinsley led the team in shots with four, followed by Wakaba Kogure (Tokyo, Japan) and Elisa Cruz (Oviedo, FL) each with three.

Daytona State goalkeeper, Emma Broch Laursen (Randers, Denmark) recorded a save in the win. The Falcons have now outscored their opponents 36-0 in their first seven games.

Nationally ranked for the fifth time this season, the Falcons moved up to No. 4 this week in the NJCAA National Rankings. The Falcons will take on their first Region 8 opponent this Wednesday when they travel to Eastern Florida to face the No. 5 Titans at 7:00pm.
