Women's Golf Place 2nd at the NJCAA Tournament

The Daytona State College women's golf team placed second at the NJCAA National Championship at Buffalo Dunes Golf Course in Garden City, Kansas. There were fifteen NJCAA member institutions that qualified to participate in this year's national championship event that competed throughout the week.

The Falcons shot a 72-hole 1223 team score by posting rounds of 300,312, 305 and 306.

For the Falcons Angelica Holman led the way and finished 6th overall with a four-day total of 303 with rounds of 73, 78, 77, and 75; Alexis Reili finished T9th overall with a 306 with rounds of 75, 77, 80, and 74; Madison Tenore finished T16th overall with a 311 and rounds of 72, 80, 81, and 78; Ashleigh Angelo finished T22nd overall with rounds of 80, 77, 75, and 81; and Analiese Raath finished 26th overall with rounds of 81, 81, 73, and 79.

Seminole State College, who shot 1201 with rounds of 293, 313, 291 and 304, claimed the 2023 National Championship.

Seminole State's Pearl Phoncharatkun finished as the tournament medalist with one round of under par golf with a four-day total of 296. Phoncharatkun shot rounds of 71, 77, 73, and 75. Eastern Florida State College finished in eighth place with a team score of 1260.
