Women's Golf Team Places 2nd at NJCAA National Championship
The Daytona State College women's golf team placed second at the NJCAA National Championship at Mayfair Country Club in Sanford, Florida. There were fifteen NJCAA member institutions that qualified to participate in this year's national championship event that competed throughout the week.
 
The Falcons shot a 72-hole 1244 team score by posting rounds of 307,316, 308 and 313. 
 
For the Falcons, Ellie Docherty led the way and finished 5th overall with a four-day total of 306 with rounds of 76, 76, 76, and 78; Alexis Rieli finished 13th overall with a 314 with rounds of 77, 81, 77, and 79; Madison Tenore finished 16th overall with a 316 and rounds of 76, 82, 76, and 82; Briana Gabe finished T18th overall with rounds of 78, 80, 81, and 79; and Ashleigh Angelo finished T25th overall with rounds of 88, 79, 79, and 77. 
 
Seminole State College who shot 1198 with rounds of 296, 300, 305 and 297 claimed the 2022 National Championship.  
 
Seminole State's Minori Nagano finished as the tournament medalist with two rounds of under par golf with a four-day total of 288. Minori shot rounds of 71, 72, 74, and 71.
