Four Falcons Receive Post-Season Honors

Daytona Beach, FL - On Friday Afternoon the FCSAA/ Region VIII Citrus Conference released the All-Conference Honors. Daytona State's Sophomore Center Kendal Moxey, and Sophomore Guard Bella Weary were named to the Citrus Conference First Team while Sophomore Guard Tasia Johnson, and Sophomore Forward Nia Brown were named to the Citrus Conference Second Team.

First Team Citrus Conference

Sophomore Guard, Bella Weary currently signed to play at Appalachian State University finished the season with 22 Double Digit scoring performances, 5th in the state in Steals (1st Conference, 19th Nationally), 10th in the state in Scoring (8th Conference) and 30th Nationally in FT attempts (5th State, 4th Conference)

Sophomore Center Kendal Moxey currently signed to play at Bowling Green State University finished the season with 10 Double-Doubles on the year, 16 Double Digit scoring performances, 2nd in state Offensive Rebounds (2nd Conference, 23rd Nationally), 6th in state Total Rebounds (9th Conference), and 9th in state FG Percentage (11th Conference).

Second Team Citrus Conference

Sophomore Guard Tasia Johnson currently signed to play at University of North Carolina Greensboro finished the season with 21 Double Digit scoring performances, 8th in the state in assists (6th Conference), 5th in the state turnover/ assist ratio (5th Conference), and 10th in the state in steals (3rd Conference)

Sophomore Forward Nia Brown committed to play at University of North Florida finished the season with 11 Double Digit scoring performances, 2nd in the state in Block (2nd Conference, 7th Nationally), 2nd in the state in Defensive Rebounds (2nd Conference, 4th Nationally), 2nd in state in Total rebounds (2nd conference, 23rd nationally), and 4th in state in rebounds per game (3rd conference, 45th nationally).

The Lady Falcons finished the season 16-14 with a seven win improvement after finishing the regular season with the most conference wins and best start since 2015-16.
