FORT MYERS, FL – Falcons close out the week with two straight wins with a stellar second half team defensive effort to take the 64-61 win versus the Buccaneers. The Falcons out-rebounded the Bucs 53-41 and had 46 points in the paint.
Daytona State was led by Sophomore Center Kendal Moxey 17 points, 6-for-13 field goals, 5-for-6 free throws, 10 rebounds, and 1 block for her ninth double-double of the season.
Sophomore Center Alicia Spann chipped in with 14 points 6-for-7 field goal, 2-for-3 free throw, 7 rebounds, and 1 block. Sophomore Guard Tasia Johnson added 12 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals. Sophomore Forward Nia Brown snagged 17 rebounds and finished with 4 steals.
Kendal Moxey stated. "We did a good job preparing for this game and knowing what we had to do defensively for the win. We needed a post presence this afternoon so we had to show up for our team."
