Falcons take down Pioneers

FORT PIERCE, FL– Falcons come up victorious on the road Wednesday evening at Indian River State College 83-78. A fast start by the Falcons in the first half, with key defensive stops down the stretch contributed to the win for Falcons.

Leading the way for the Falcons Wednesday night was Sophomore Guard Bella Weary with 29 points 9-for-18 field goals, 2-for-3 three pointer, 9-for-10 free throws, 6 rebounds, 3 steals, and 3 assist. 

Freshman Guard Zoe Tennell added 14 points, 5-for-8 from field goal, 1-for-1 three pointers, 3-for-5 free throws, 3 rebounds, and 2 assist. Sophomore Center Alicia Spann chipped in with 13 points, 4-for-7 field goals, 5-for-6 free throws, 5 rebounds, and 2 assist. Sophomore Forward Nia Brown added 11 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 assist. 

"It was a highly competitive game for 40 minutes, we executed offensively and our team defense was there for a much needed win." Bella Weary stated. 

The Falcons are home on Saturday February 10th at 2:00 p.m. versus Santa Fe College for the annual "Think Pink" Breast Cancer Awareness game.
