Falcons open Holiday Classic with win over Snow

Americus, GA – Friday afternoon the Falcons started a three game swing at the South Georgia Tech College Holiday Classic with a 60-42 win over Snow College. Defensive pressure early forced turnovers and conversions for Daytona State as they outscored the Badgers 30-13 in the first half.

The Falcons were led by Sophomore Guard Bella Weary with 16 points, 7-for-18 field goal, 2-for-4 from 3pt, 3 steals, and 2 assists.

Freshman Point Guard Eva Bradshaw added 10 points, 4-for-7 from field goal, and 2-for-4 from 3pt. Sophomore Forward Nia Brown snagged 16 rebounds while adding 8 points to the mix for the Falcons.

Bella Weary stated "Our early pressure helped us get a led we needed, defense and converting in transition were our goals and we accomplished them with a nice win after the break."

The Falcons are back for day two at the SGTC Holiday Classic on Saturday December 30th vs. #7 Pensacola State College at 12:00 p.m. ET.
