Jacksonville, FL – The Lady Falcons opened up the 2023-24 season with a win on the road at the 2nd Annual Battle on Beach Blvd. Tip Off Classic 77-59 over the host team Florida State College at Jacksonville

Inside presence was the story of tonight's contest as Sophomore Center Kendal Moxey led all scorers with 20 points, 9-17 fg, 2-5 ft, 17 rebounds, and 1 assist. Post mate Sophomore Center Alicia Spann followed with 13 points, and 7 recounds. 

The Falcons Sophomore Foward Nia Brown filled up the stat sheet with 7 points, 3-5 fg, 1-3 3fg, 10 rebounds, 2 steals, 4 blocks, and 6 assists. 

"Great effort by our squad tonight, as I am pleased with the defensive effort our ladies turned on in the second quarter. Start of the season means time to get the kinks out. Proud of our group" Head Coach Tron Griffin stated.

The Falcons are back in action tomorrow November 4th for Day 2 of the 2nd Annual Battle on Beach Blvd. Tip Off Classic at Florida State College at Jacksonville- South Campus vs. East Georgia College at 4:00 p.m.
