Daytona Beach, FL. -- The Daytona State Falcons made several pushes but could get over the hump.

Sophomore Guard Danea Mackey led all scorers with 11 points, and Freshman Guard Shaniyah McCarthy finished with 11 points also.

Head Coach, Tron Griffin stated. "It's not about the start, but the finish! I must do a better job of preparing us. I felt like we did some things well, but we are a defensive team, and we didn't get stops when we needed them."

The Falcons are home Friday and Saturday, November 11-12, 2022, as they host the Basketball on the Beach Classic. Friday in the 5:30 p.m. game Palm Beach State College will host St. Petersburg College, and in the 7:30 Game, Daytona State will host #1 Northwest Florida State College. Saturday, St. Petersburg College will host Northwest Florida State College at 1:00 p.m. and Daytona State will host Palm Beach State College at 3:00 p.m.
