Falcons Close out Weekend at JUCO Shootout

Saint Petersburg, FL. – Shayla Bouie led the way with 14 points 50% field goal shooting, and 6-for-8 from the free-throw line as Daytona State downed Tallahassee Community College 76-42 Saturday afternoon at the JUCO Shootout.

The Falcons (2-0) with a strong first-quarter start 24-8, and finished holding the Eagles to 42 points for the game. 11 Falcons posted stat lines in this contest.

Freshman Kierra Wheeler logged her second double-double of the season with 13 points, 10 rebounds on 6-for-13 field goal shooting, and two blocked shots. Sophomore Tanyia Gordon also chipped in with 12 points.

Defensive efforts helped Daytona State hold TCC to just 13 made field goals in the game while committing 20 turnovers.

The Falcons are back on the road in action Tuesday at Indian River State College at 5:30 p.m.
