Falcons win in home season finale 75-56

Daytona Beach, FL. – Sophomore Tanyia Gordon led the way with a double-double scoring 18 points, 15 rebounds, 7-for-12 from the field, two assists, and a steal as Daytona State takes the win over Santa Fe to secure second place in the Central Conference and clinching a trip to the State Tournament for the first time since 2018-19.


The Falcons (15-7) started off slow and stretched a 12-point lead through three-quarters of basketball. The Falcons rebounding efforts and points off turnovers helped close out the game. Freshman Post Kierra Wheeler recorded 15 points, nine rebounds, and three steals. Sophomore Guard Kimeira Burks chipped in 10 points.

Daytona State travels to Florida State College at Jacksonville tomorrow February 22nd at 5:30 p.m for their final regular-season game of the season.
