Falcons close out weekend at St. Petersburg with 75-54 win

St. Petersburg, FL. – Sophomore Blessing Okoh led the way with her second double-double of the season scoring 18 points, 7-for-10 from the field, 2-for-4 from the three, an assist, steal and block as Daytona State takes the win over St. Petersburg College on Saturday afternoon.


The Falcons (13-6) started off hot and stretched a 15-point lead after the first half of basketball. The Falcons' hot shooting in the second half went on to score 44 points.

Freshman Kierra Wheeler recorded her sixth double-double of the year with 17 points and 13 rebounds. Freshman guard Jaida Young also chipped in with 11 points. Daytona State returns home next Thursday, February 17th to host Florida State College at Jacksonville at 5:30 p.m.
