Strong start pushes Falcons past St. Petersburg

St. Petersburg, FL. – In the first game of a two-game road trip versus the Titans, the Daytona State Women's Basketball Team (12-6) defense lead the way to take the 72-58 victory over St. Petersburg College on Friday night.

Three Falcons scored in double figures led by Freshman Kierra Wheeler with 17 points, twelve rebounds, three blocks, and 1 steal to record her 5th double-double of the season. Sophomores Shayla Bouie scored 13 points, and Blessing Okoh added 10 points.

The Falcons are back in action tomorrow February 12th at 2:00 p.m. vs. St. Petersburg College
