Gainesville, FL. – Sophomore Tanyia Gordon led the way with 20 points, 8-for-16 from the field, seven rebounds, six steals, and one assist as Daytona State take down Santa Fe College on the road Wednesday afternoon.
The Falcons (11-5) started off hot and stretched a 15-point lead after the first half of basketball. The Falcons defense outrebounded the Saints by 12, forcing 23 turnovers. Freshman Kierra Wheeler recorded her fourth double-double of the year with 18 points and 11 rebounds, four assists, two steals, and one block. Sophomore Guard Kimeira Burks also chipped in with 10 points.
Daytona State returns home next Wednesday, February 9th to host Santa Fe College at 5:30 p.m.
