Falcons Fall to #18 Eastern Florida State

Melbourne, FL. -- The Daytona State Falcons start strong on the road with an 8-point lead at the break, but a hot third-quarter shooting by Eastern Florida State College rallied the Titans to a 75-62-win Wednesday afternoon.

Sophomores Kimeira Burks and Tanyia Gordon both registered 16 points Wednesday. Burks, 5-for-17 from the field, three rebounds, and one steal. Gordon, 7-for-14 from the field, nine rebounds, and four steals. Freshman Kierra Wheeler also added 12 points, eight rebounds, one steal, one block while Sophomore Shayla Bouie chipped in with 10 points.

"I am very proud of our effort for 40 minutes, and we hit all of our goals except one. We must be able to defend behind the arc, especially versus good shooting teams on the road. We have to bounce back and be ready for our next game Friday." Griffin said.

The Falcons are on the road again, 5:30 p.m. Friday, February 4th at Santa Fe College.
