Softball Announces All-Conference Selections and Post-Season Awards
At the conclusion of the softball season, Anna Margetis and Mariana Rodriguez were selected to the All Mid-Florida Conference second team. Margetis, a two-time Mid-Florida Conference selection, improved on her freshman year success by hitting .322 and collecting 48 hits, with 19 doubles, 1 triple, and 7 home runs. The sophomore also drove in a team-high 39 RBIs. Because of these numbers, she was named Outstanding Offensive Player and Student-Athlete of the Year for the Falcons. Margetis was also awarded the Outstanding Student award and Falcon Student Engagement award for her commitment to her academics and serving the community.  Rodriguez had the highest batting average on the team (.331) and most hits (49), after hitting in the lead-off spot most of the season. She concluded the season with 7 doubles, 3 triples, and 16 RBIs. 
 
Rounding out the team’s spring awards were: 
Leighton Strickland - Outstanding Defensive Player
Kansas Crean and Zoe Emerson - Co-Scholar Athlete of the Year 
Emma Hoffman - We > Me Award
Hannah Rizzuto - Whatever It Takes Award
