Bio

Relatively new to long distance running, Pastrana caught the attention of DSC cross country coaches during a running clinic.  Until his senior year, Pastrana mainly focused on shorter distances in track.  He did not run the longer distances in track until his season year.

2021 Season in Review: During his freshman year at DSC, Pastrana finished the season with an 8k personal record of 28:08 at the Region 8 meet, placing 17th overall, and in the Falcons top nine.  He was an alternate for the men's squad two weeks later when they earned National Runner-Up as a team, before running 1:17:06 in the half marathon, placing 50th overall.

2022 Season Outlook:  After a solid summer of training, Wilson will look to Pastrana to help lead the team with his sophomore classmates who have their sights set on improving upon their second place in Virginia last year.

Coach Wilson Comments: "Christian's work ethic has been impressive and he has a strong desire to improve as a runner.  We are fortunate to have him in our program.  He's the kind of guy who makes others around him want to be better.  I'm excited to see what 2022-2023 brings for him."
