On Tuesday, the Florida College System Activities Association announced the Region 8 team of the year. Daytona State College had 4 men’s soccer players named to both the first and second team.
First Team
Bismark Ayamba - Freshman | Midfield | Navrongo, Ghana
Hector Moreno - Sophomore | Forward | El Cerrito, Colombia
Marin Selak - Freshman | Defender | Hannover, Germany
Josue Youta - Freshman | Forward | Montreal, QBC, Canada
Second Team
Maddox Brown - Sophomore | Defender | Winter Park, Fla.
Giovanni Donzetti - Freshman | Defender | Napoli, Italy
Ian Garzon - Sophomore | Midfield | Winter Park, Fla.
Matthew McCall - Sophomore | Goalkeeper | Orlando, Fla.

The Falcons were led this season by sophomore forward, Hector Moreno, in points this season. Scoring 9 goals and 4 assists for a total of 22 points. Hector was closely followed by freshmen forward, Josue Youta, with 9 goals and 3 assists for a total of 21 points on the season.
The eight Falcons recognized in the Region 8 Teams of the Year combined for 7 goals and 7 assists in Region 8 play with a record of 1-1-2, finishing second in the regular season.
