The Daytona State College men's soccer team played Region 8 opponents, Eastern Florida State College in their final meeting before playoffs.
The Titans would find themselves taking the lead early in the contest after just 4 minutes. Soon after, the Falcons would have a reply of their own with a volley from freshmen captain, Marin Selak to bring things level again.
With ten minutes remaining in the half, the Titans would take advantage of a Falcon error and once again find themselves in the lead. Pushing for an equalizer before half, the Falcons scored after a couple goal line saves from the Titans before Hector Moreno finally got the finishing touch to tie the game going into half time.
The Titans would take the lead again 33 seconds into the second half and would extend their lead even further with another goal in the 55th minute. Unable to get anything past the Titans, the Falcons would end the contest with a 4-2 loss.
Daytona State College will host reigning national champions, Monroe University on Thursday night at 7pm. For free admission to the game, bring any hurricane relief aid to the soccer stadium as we continue to work in recovering from hurricane Milton.
