Number 5 ranked Daytona State Men’s Soccer team takes their record to 10-2

Daytona State Men's Soccer team played two games last week, improving their season record to 10-2.

The Falcons started their week with an away game in Thomasville, GA against Thomas University. Kevin Kelly and Christian Cordeiro each scored 2 goals and 1 assist helping men's soccer take home a 4-2 win. Sophomore goalkeeper, Ryan Bierwagan, made his first start in the net for the Falcons and played an important role in the win as he saved a penalty kick in the second half. 

The next match came at home on the weekend versus Florida Palms University. The Falcons outshot their opponents 15 to 3 with 10 of the shots being on target. The only goal of the contest came in the 33rd minute of the first half. Steven Fikula and Kevin Kelly combined for a double assist that set up Christian Cordeiro for his 9th goal this year.

Number 8 men's soccer next match will be in Miami on Wednesday, October 19th where they will face Florida Palms University
