Daytona State Men’s and Women’s Soccer Teams Provide Youth Soccer Clinic for Ormond Beach Soccer Club and Port Orange Soccer Club

Daytona Beach, FL.- Student-athletes from the Daytona State Men’s and Women’s Soccer programs volunteered their time and soccer skills at the Ormond Beach Soccer Club youth clinic earlier this month.  It was a wonderful evening full of soccer, laughter, and excitement for the beautiful game with young aspiring soccer players from the surrounding communities. 

Daytona State's head women's soccer coach Hope Clark commented, "Our team is always excited to give back and to share their passion and abilities with the local youth soccer community. The clinics are an ideal platform for our student-athletes, who are from all over the world and many from Florida, to connect with and give back to the game that has given them so much.”  

 Coaches and players from both Daytona State soccer programs assist in hosting free clinics for the Volusia County youth soccer players each year.  They help teach skills, play games, and further connect with the local communities.

 "It’s a great service for our program and players to give back to the local soccer community", added head men's soccer coach Bart Sasnett. “We look forward to more community service and engagement with the Daytona State Men’s and Women’s soccer programs.”
