The Daytona State College men's basketball team won their 17th consecutive game 96 - 83 over St. Petersburg College. Daytona, ranked #4 in the NJCAA, improves to 19-2 (7-0) and sets up a showdown on Saturday at Florida Southwestern which has just 1 loss in Citrus Conference play.
Daytona built a 16 point halftime lead, 46-30, and held on in the second half for the win. The Daytona defense finished with 10 steals and forced 17 St. Pete turnovers. The offense made 16 three point attempts. Dlan Diaz (6-9) and Huascar Cuevas (4-5) combined for 10 made three point attempts.
