The Daytona State Men's basketball team, ranked #9 in the NJCAA, won their 24th game of the season against St. Pete College, 80-66.  The Falcons improve to 25-4 (13-2). 
 
The win gives Daytona their third consecutive Conference championship. Daytona has only lost 3 conference games in the past 3 years. However, they are 41-5 because of 2 forfeits. During the same period, Daytona is 41-3 at home (including 1 forfeited home game).
 
Daytona again relied on their defensive effort and finished with 17 steals and forced 18 St. Pete turnovers.
 
Eddie Placer led the way for Daytona with 20 points and 6 rebounds. Noah Mendy 12 points and 5 steals. Isaiah Dorceus 13 points 6 steals and 5 assists. Ryan Bewley 14 points and 4 rebounds. Matt Bewley 8 points, 4 rebounds and 4 blocks.
