In a battle of two heavyweights ranked in the Top 10 nationally, #10 Daytona State and #1 NW Florida traded punches for 40 minutes and Daytona State emerged with the victory in Niceville. Northwest Florida led at the half 39-38. The second half was more back and forth until Daytona State was able to pull away and build a 10 point lead with just over 11 minutes remaining. NW Florida made back-to-back 3 point shots to again narrow the margin but Daytona State held on down the stretch to clinch the road win against the #1 ranked team in the nation. Kylin Green led the Falcons with 23 points (9-11 FGM), 5 rebounds, and 4 steals. Breylin Garcia added 18 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals. Josue Grullon 18 points and 4 rebounds.
