Daytona State waited until the last second of the game to take their first lead of the game to defeat Florida Southwestern 83-82 on the road. Daytona finishes the regular season at 28-2, 14-2 in conference play and Citrus Conference Champions in its inaugural season. Daytona is ranked #8 in the latest NJCAA national poll and in the Top 10 in every other national poll. Last season, Daytona won the Central Conference.
 
FSW led by as many as 17 points with just over 10 minutes to play in the game but Daytona's tenacious defense, which forced 19 FSW turnovers in the game, brought them back one basket at a time. Daytona scored on a last second Victor Panov layup, assisted by Kylin Green to win the game. Daytona struggled from 3 point range, 6-28. FSW made 12-24 from 3 point range.  
 
Josue Grullon led the scoring for Daytona with 19 points and added 6 rebounds and 2 assists. Kylin Green finished with 18 points, 8 assists, 4 rebounds, and 4 steals. Victor Panov had 15 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists. Breylin Garcia had 14 points and 3 rebounds in just 16 minutes. Huascar Cuevas had 10 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists.
