The Daytona State College men's basketball team beat Eastern Florida State College on Wednesday night in Daytona Beach at the Lemerand Athletic Center. The Falcons are now tied with the Titans for first place in the Central Conference with identical 7-1 records. This is the fifth consecutive win for the Falcons following the January loss in Melbourne and improved the Falcons season record to an overall 20-3 mark.

Daytona State forced 14 turnovers and had 14 assists and shot 52% from the field and 39% from beyond the arc during the contest. The Falcons got seven more shots in the game than the Titans (67-60).

Daytona State College will hit the road for their next two Central Conference contests at FSCJ and Santa Fe before returning to the friendly confines of the Lemerand Athletic Center to face St. Petersburg College on Saturday, February 11th. Five of the Falcons remaining seven regular season games are on the road.
