There would be no letdown or complacency for Daytona State College. After clinching the Conference Championship and punching their ticket to the Region 8 Tournament last week, DSC went on to extend their winning streak to12 this week with two more wins to close out the regular season 27-3, 14-1.

Daytona State College defeated Santa Fe College 91-89 to close out the regular season at 27-3, 14-1. DSC travelled to Gainesville to take on a tough Santa Fe team that is still in contention for an at-large bid to the Region 8 Tournament and a win against DSC could have helped secure the bid. DSC ranked #8 in the NJCAA, clinched their Conference Championship last week and had already punched their ticket to the Region 8 Tournament. DSC led by as many as 12 in the second half before SFC mounted a late rally that came up short. DSC forced 15 turnovers and had 17 assists on 31 made field goals.
DSC finished with 5 players in double figures. Jacob Crews led DSC with 25 points and 10 rebounds. Josue Grullon-German 18 points and 3 assists. Kezza Giffa 15 points and 3 assists. Ky Stattmann 10 points and 8 rebounds. Nic McClain 10 points and 8 rebounds.
