Daytona State College Extends Win Streak to 12 After Clinching Conference Championship
There would be no letdown or complacency for Daytona State College. After clinching the Conference Championship and punching their ticket to the Region 8 Tournament last week, DSC went on to extend their winning streak to12 this week with two more wins to close out the regular season 27-3, 14-1.
 
Daytona State College 91 - Santa Fe College 89 Daytona State College defeated Santa Fe College 91-89 to close out the regular season at 27-3, 14-1. DSC travelled to Gainesville to take on a tough Santa Fe team that is still in contention for an at-large bid to the Region 8 Tournament and a win against DSC could have helped secure the bid. DSC ranked #8 in the NJCAA, clinched their Conference Championship last week and had already punched their ticket to the Region 8 Tournament. DSC led by as many as 12 in the second half before SFC mounted a late rally that came up short. DSC forced 15 turnovers and had 17 assists on 31 made field goals.
 
DSC finished with 5 players in double figures. Jacob Crews led DSC with 25 points and 10 rebounds. Josue Grullon-German 18 points and 3 assists. Kezza Giffa 15 points and 3 assists. Ky Stattmann 10 points and 8 rebounds. Nic McClain 10 points and 8 rebounds.
