The Daytona State Falcon women's cross country team heads to Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex for the Disney Cross Country Classic slated for Saturday, Oct 12th, 2019.The gun is set to go off at 8:25am for the 5000 meter distance on a flat and fast course. The Falcons are ranked 18th in the national poll and look to capitalize on two solid weeks of training following their win at the Seminole State Invite on September 27th. Led by freshman Trina Spinelli, Hannah Offenback, and sophomore Kristine Gray, the Falcons are ready to face of field of more than 20 teams, including Region 8 rival Pasco Hernando State College. "We are just focusing on going out and running that 2nd and 3rd mile better. We are going out and hitting the mile well, but then we are putting on the brakes a little bit and just maintaining that pace. You don't run a season or personal best that way." Coach Judy Wilson said.

The field includes teams from Florida, Texas, South Carolina, North Caroline, and Ohio. The race will be broadcast on ESPN 3.
