Bio

One of the 'more seasoned' runners on the team, Jenny came to Wilson’s attention through a DSC co-worker who mentioned that Enslin would be running the Boston Marathon in April 2018.  Wilson would be running the same race, and eventually the two met to discuss whether or not Enslin would be interested in running for the Falcons.  Enslin’s unique story of heart issues, and subsequent heart ablation surgery 10 years earlier, led her to consider this amazing opportunity to run college cross country.  “Jenny was told to exercise an hour each day after the surgery, and she turned to running to fulfill that.  She just got stronger and stronger, and then found herself at the start line of the Boston Marathon!  She is really grasping the concept of training for the 5k distance, and we have been careful to incorporate speed slowly to avoid injuries."

Outlook for 2019 per Wilson:

Jenny got some great experience running in our top seven last year.  Her best race will be the Half Marathon Championships and I think she will be able to set a personal record that day if the weather cooperates.  She has run 1:37 for the half marathon on the roads, but I see her hitting a sub 1:33 this November.
