Volleyball Home Opener offering FREE pizza to fans

The Lady Falcons opened their season with a win over the Lady Hawks of Hillsborough Community College, Wednesday, August 22nd to commence the 2018 volleyball season.

The Falcons were commanded by impressive offensive performances from sophomores, Taylor Garcia and Yasmin Kuck.  Garcia recorded 10 kills hitting an impressive .538, while Kuck added 12 kills with a .258 attack percentage. 

Freshman libero, Nicole Rodriguez, led the Falcon defensively with 25 digs on her collegiate volleyball debut.  While, sophomore setter, Gardieliz Laureano commanded the offense with 22 assists on the night.  Freshman setter, Bruna Avilla, chipped in 13 assists as the Falcons went on to capture the match 3-0. 

The Falcons are on the road this weekend competing in the Santa Fe College Classic.  They will match up against a strong Palm Beach State College Friday night.  Followed by two tough Saturday matches against Gulf Coast College and tournament host, Santa Fe College. 

Tuesday night the Falcons will bring volleyball action to the G. Lemerand Center, in their first 2018 home match as they take on the Manatees of State College of Florida.  First serve is set for 6 PM.  The first 100 Falcon fans will get free pizza!

The Lady Falcons will look to Garcia and Kuck once again to put the hammer down on State College of Florida.  Come out and enjoy a great night of volleyball, FREE PIZZA, and Falcon Spirit as the Lady Falcons look to advance their record and open home match play.
