Daytona Beach, FL (dscfalcons.com): In the NJCAA's most recently released plan of action shifts all close-contact fall sports to the spring semester. These sports include football, men's and women's soccer, and court volleyball. The NJCAA cross country championships for all three divisions and half marathon championships will remain as their originally scheduled dates in the fall.

"The movement of the championship season to the Spring enables us to have the Fall be a training season. I'm happy our team will have the opportunity to focus on our development this Fall without the pressure of regular competition. We can focus on individual growth and work to build solid team dynamics," said Coach Jones.

The Fall will feature 4-weeks of conditioning to better prepare the group for higher-level intensity training and 8-weeks of regular training with up to 4 scrimmages.

"While I know many of the student-athletes will be disappointed by the limited number of games/scrimmages in the Fall, we're going to take advantage of the opportunity to better prepare for our competitive season. These are unprecedented times and we are grateful to have the support of Daytona State, enabling us to continue training and engaging with our student-athletes," said Jones.
