Daytona Beach, FL (dscfalcons.com): The Falcons reported for preseason on July 28th this year, enabling them to get three full weeks of training in before the academic year began. During those three weeks, the Falcons took on local Florida and Georgia DI, DII, and NAIA schools including Stetson University, Thomas University, Nova Southeastern, and Embry-Riddle.

"Preseason is one of my favorite times and the most important times for our team. It is the one time of the year where we finally have everyone together and can focus on building the culture we want to see from our players without the stress of school and travel. We are fortunate that we are afforded a longer preseason than other teams," commented Head Coach Brittany Jones.

"Overall our team has progressed well over the last three weeks. We play very difficult competition in preseason in an effort to prepare ourselves for our regular season ahead.  Most importantly we saw progress in all four of our games. The team is looking to implement the tactics we are asking for and have been successful.  Hurricane Dorian has set us back a week and we're ready to continue games again this weekend as we travel to face Webber International University," said Jones.

Webber International University has become the home of former Captain Megan Warner, of the inaugural Falcon class (2016-17). During her time as a Falcon, Warner notched 15 goals and remains 4th in career points, further she received numerous athletic and academic accolades including 2 x NJCAA Region 8 Second Team recognition, 2 x Daytona State College Outstanding Student Award, 2 x NJCAA All-Academic Award, and 2017 DSC Women's Soccer Student-Athlete of the Year. Warner enters into her senior year at WIU with 10 career goals and 2 assists.

Kick-off on Saturday is at 11:00 am in Babson Park, FL
