March 9, 2021 – Sophomore standout Symone Henriques continued her solid play at the UNF Collegiate by posting a 9^th place finish with scores of 72-76-73 in the 93-player field.    This was Henriques third top-10 finish in three events this semester.   The Lady Falcons finished 14^th out of 17 NCAA D1 teams and posted scores of 308-315-319 (942).   University of North Florida won the team title by 10 shots with scores of 295-294-289 (878) over Sam Houston University who shot 297-293-298 (888).  Hanna Alberto from Sam Houston won the individual title with scores of 72-72-70 (214) by 3 strokes over Julia Hovland from South Alabama.  

"I know my players are disappointed in their performances these last couple of days, but we have been away from consistent competition for months prior to returning to play a few weeks ago.  We continue to learn what we need to work on, and they are all committed to putting in the work necessary to improve our scores as a team," stated Head Coach Laura Brown.   With every event we play they will continure to feel more comforatble competing again and I'm confident our scores will improve."  The Falcons return to action next week at the 2021 Spring Break Shootout hosted by WKU and FGCU March 15^th & 16^th at Lake Jovita Golf Club in Dade City, FL.
