Women's Golf Place 2nd at the Lady Falcon Invitational

The Daytona State Women's Golf Team started off their season with their home tournament, the Lady Falcon Invitational at LPGA International. The Lady Falcons tied for 2nd, posting rounds of 313, 306, and 305 (924), just seven shots behind team champion Seminole State College. Seminole was led by Worapitcha Anndit, who shot 69, 72, and 67, coming in at eight-under par (208) and claiming the individual title.

In the individual competition, sophomore Hollie Muse finished close behind with scores of 75, 69, and 70 placing second individually with a three day total of two-under par. Additionally, freshman Julia Towne tied for 10th posting scores of 76, 81, and 75. Freshman Casey Sommer and sophomore Sadie Chlapowski tied for 18th with a three day total of 235, posting rounds of 81, 75, 79 and 79, 75, and 81 respectfully.

The Lady Falcons return to action this coming weekend as they are participating in the Lady Paladin Invitational hosted by Furman University in Greenville, SC.
